Freelance and Home Business to do list:
It’s a sad fact that the dream of operating a home-based business based on the notion that it is the perfect blend – being at home to care for the family and all that combined with money coming in great dollops remains, well, a dream for the majority. It may not be easy but it doesn’t have o be all that difficult. Here a few of the tips that I’ve gleaned from some of the best of them those that have done the hard yards and achieved reliable and sustainable income from their home business.
Welcome to your daily recipe for bliss and prosperity:
- Be sure to get eight hours sleep every night.
- Eat five serves of vegetables and two serves of fruit.
- Drink three litres of water every day.
- Dress for success! Make yourself presentable before starting work.
- Make your own lunch every day rather than buying it.
- Take a nap in the afternoon to re-energise.
- Do at least half an hour of exercise every day.
- Don’t skip lunch – get out of the office to eat your sandwich.
- Have dinner as a family – its important bonding time.
- Spend 20 minutes planning tomorrow with a detailed to-do list...
- Do one thing every day that scares you.
- Make some quality time for your partner.
- Make sure you get some ‘me’ time.
- Read industry magazines to stay on top of trends.
- Slow down – take time out to smell the roses.
- Plus, there were a couple of little things I’d like to add but couldn’t find in the books:
- Those of us with bills to pay will be required to spend some of the day doing actual work.
- Read the sport and gossip section of the newspaper in-depth.
- Go and buy a coffee and whinge for a while about how busy work is.
- Discuss what you did last weekend with whoever will listen.
- Make arrangements for next weekend
- Check Facebook in case old friends that you never liked have ‘poked’ you.
This sounds like about two days packed into one, but most are simple habits which, once mastered don’t require a to-do list here’s the word: keep busy and keep an eye on where you are headed.
