Requirements
- .NET Framework (at least 3.5 SP1, full package).
- Read the Install Instructions on the download page and download KB959209 and KB967190 too�and also read carefully each KBs instructions.
- Visual C++, at least Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update.
How to Add Plugins
- Extract effects dll files into Apppaint.netEffects folder.
- Extract file types dll files into Apppaint.netFileTypes folder.
- If a dll is blocked by Windows UAC, then right-click on that DLL ? choose Properties from the menu ? on the General tab, look for an Unblock button ? if its there, click it ? click the Apply button.

Portability Notes
- Paint.NET do not have portable mode. It stores its settings in Windows registry and data folders while running.
- Make sure it exits cleanly before plugging out your thumbdrive.
- You can help by sending request to the official developer to add "portable mode" to their future release.
